Divorce

Children of all ages typically suffer pain, confusion, and insecurity when their parents separate and divorce. They are especially hurt by the outbursts of anger, bitterness, lack of respect, inability to communicate, and overt hostility that can repeatedly flare up between battling parents. In addition, most children struggle to adjust to two homes. Children experience divorce differently depending on their ages and the specific circumstances.  A child psychologist assists the child adjust and also helps parents with ways to help the child with the transition.
